August 30, 2007 – ABC2 and TMF Award Joint Grant to Dr. Joseph Costello, UCSF

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure and TMF continue to work together in the spirit of collaboration through the awarding of a 2007 joint research grant to Dr. Joseph Costello from the University of California, San Francisco. “Co-funding this award makes good sense, as working together will maximize our positive impact on the lives of patients with brain tumors and their families,” says Jennifer Brusstar, TMF president and CEO.

July 19, 2007 – DCVax® - Brain Phase II Clinical Trial

A Phase II clinical trial to test the efficacy ofDCVax®-Brain is currently enrolling patients.  Data from two Phase I clinical trials carried out by Dr. Linda Liau at UCLA support the overall safety of DCVax®-Brain and suggest that it may induce an immune response.  Data suggests delayed time to disease recurrence and increased survival, especially in patients with stable disease at entry.
