June 26, 2006 – Tim McGraw Throws Out First
Pitch
The country music superstar threw out the ceremonial
first pitch at the Phillies-Mets game held June 15 in memory of
his late father, Tug McGraw. While at the game, Tim also accepted
a donation from Phillies Charities for $37,374 to benefit the Tug
McGraw Foundation.

June 14, 2006 – Rita’s Ice Store “Sweet” on
Foundation
This past June 2-3, the Foundation received some
sweet treatment at the “Have An Ice Day” fundraiser
sponsored by Rita’s Ice Store in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.
Delicious desserts and a visit from the Phillie Phanatic made for
quite an event!

Riverdogs Win On “Tug McGraw Night”
This past Monday night, May 22, the Charleston Riverdogs proudly
hosted “Tug McGraw Night” at their ballpark in Charleston,
South Carolina. Over $2500 was raised for the Foundation as fans
wached the Riverdogs defeat the Rome Braves 3-2.

Foundation Gets Nod from TV’s Ellen
Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors recently performed in Orlando,
Florida for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Staffers from the show began
asking questions about the Tug McGraw Foundation after seeing McGraw
wearing a green and white 45 YGB “Seam of Luck” bracelet
on the show and put forth some unexpected support.

Tennessee Wine Tasting Toasts Foundation
Cool Springs Wines & Spirits in Franklin, Tennessee sponsored
the first charity wine tasting to benefit the Tug McGraw Foundation
this past Saturday, April 15, 2006. Local wine aficionados and Foundation
supporters stopped in throughout the afternoon to sample limited
production wines from the Landmark and Cedarville Wineries.
