Foundation Gets Nod from TV’s Ellen

The Tug McGraw Foundation is thrilled to share a much-appreciated show of support from the The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Since the recent performance of Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors on her award-winning talk show, the official Ellen website has showcased a link to the Tug McGraw Foundation alongside another to McGraw’s new album, Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2.

McGraw and his band appeared on the show this past April 4th from Universal Studios in Orlando. They performed the current hit, “When Stars Go Blue,” as well as the chart-topper “Real Good Man” for the hot and enthusiastic crowd. McGraw also lofted tennis balls bearing his autograph into the audience after swapping laughs and stories onstage with Ellen.

But it was not the hit songs or the singer’s trademark black hat that lit up the phones at the Foundation office. It was the green and white 45 YGB “Seams of Luck” bracelet on his right arm. McGraw wore the bracelet onstage in a typical show of support for our mission, and the cameras caught his gesture for the national television audience.

“Ellen would love to support this,” said music coordinator Laura Bertalan, noting the bracelet and its message of hope. “We’ll share the news of your Foundation on our site, and…can we get one of those for Ellen?“ She was immediately given a special edition for the hostess.

“She will love this,” smiled Bertalan.

The Tug McGraw Foundation thanks Ellen, staffer Laura BertaIan, and everyone at the The Ellen DeGeneres Show for their support.
